BEST MAC LIPSTICKS FOR FAIR SKIN

Best Mac Lipsticks for Fair Skin

So today I'm feeling super productive! I've been to the gym this afternoon, tidied and de-cluttered my room and now I'm writing a blog post, I'm basically super woman. But coming back to this post, this post will focus on what I think are some good shades in Mac lipsticks for people with fair/pale skin. If you don't live near a Mac counter (like me when I'm not at uni) it can be quite difficult to know which shade to choose so I've put together all the different shades I feel compliment fair skin!

I'm going to be focusing on seven different lipsticks.

Swatch from left to right: Lovelorn, Please Me, Plumful, New York Apple, Twig, Rebel, Girl About Town

PLEASE ME:- This is very similar to Lovelorn, it is however a matte finish and can be drying on the lips. However, it is a lovely pink nude shade. It is a bit more longer lasting and has a stronger colour I feel.

LOVELORN:- This is a lovely nude pink shade, in a lustre finish. It is perfect for just a simple daytime look and is the perfect 'your lips but better' shade.

PLUMFUL:- I love Plumful! It is a lustre finish, and is a lovely off red ish shade which I would personally wear for a day to night look as I feel red is more of a night time colour. Lovely lipstick but colour could be slightly brighter.

NEW YORK APPLE:- This is the only lipstick of which I own in a Frost finish. I personally think this lipstick would have been better in a matte shade HOWEVER I love this lipstick and is the perfect red shade for fair skin as it is not too bold.

TWIG:- A lovely Satin finish lipstick that resembles the famous Velvet Teddy. I wear this with the Spice lip liner and it is a lovely brown shade and is perfect for a daytime look. Overall, a lovely lipstick which is slightly out of my comfort zone but I still love it.

REBEL:- Another satin finish lipstick that is perfect for Autumn/Winter. I have only wore this lipstick once as finding the occasion for it is difficult! It is a lovely statement lip and doesn't dry my lips.

GIRL ABOUT TOWN:- I have definitely saved the best until last here.... I absolutely love this lipstick. It was one of the first Mac lipsticks I have ever purchased and I'm still in love. It is very bright but is very flattering on fair skin. This is my go to night time lipstick shade for a girls night out. Absolutely LOVE.

Three occasions of me wearing Girl About Town... that is maybe why I've used half of the lipstick within months.

As usual, feel free to leave any comments and also thank you for 100 followers on Bloglovin!

GRWM: DATE NIGHT

GRWM: DATE NIGHT

My previous GRWM post was very popular so I decided I would do another but this time for a date night look that I did last night. Below is a picture of all of the different products that I used to create the look.

I began by prepping my skin with the Simple Kind to Skin Light Moisturiser and then began creating my base. To create my base I mixed Mac Studio Fix Fluid Foundation with the Seventeen Wow! Primer {I reviewed this product in a previous post, you can find it HERE!}.

This is my skin bare with just some Vaseline on my lips and the Simple Moisturiser.

I then used the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer to conceal underneath my eyes and the blemishes and spots that I had, and finished this with the Mac Studio Fix Powder. Following this, I applied some light contouring using Hoola by Benefit and then highlighted with Lightscapade by Mac. I finished my base of with a flush of colour to my cheeks and used Pink Rose in the Rimmel Lasting Finish Soft Colour Blush.

I then moved onto my brows... for my brows I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomrade in colour Blonde, and set them with Benefit's Gimme Brow. I highlighted underneath them with Benefit's High Beam.

I then moved onto my eyes. For my eyes I used the Benefit 'They're Real' Mascara for one coat, and then used the Mac Fluidline to create my winged eyeliner. I then used the Maybelline 24hr Tattoo in shade Pink Gold, followed by a shadow Platinum from the Smashbox Shapematters Palette. To finish the look, I added another coat of mascara but this time with the Soap and Glory Thick and Fast.

I finished my look with Mac's Plumful lipstick.. and here is the finished look.

For this date night, we went out to a local restaurant. This is what the food looked like... (the most important part).

Thankyou for reading, as usual feel free to leave any comments. If you would like any in depth reviews of the products I have featured let me know!

NYE PREP: GRWM

NYE PREP: GRWM

This is going to be a bit of a different post to what I normally write but I thought it would be fun to do a post about how I will be getting ready for NYE which is tomorrow! { If you like this sort of post you will have to let me know in the comments below! (that sort of rhymed...)}

So to begin with I'm going to run myself a bubble bath with Radox bubble bath (if you would like any reviews of the products mentioned in this post just let me know and I will do a seperate post)

Then I'm going to cleanse my face with my absolutely favourite face wash of all time... the Bare Minerals Purifying Facial Cleanser

Now because I'm going to be fake tanning after the bath I'm going to exfoliate with a loofa (I have no clue how you spell that word or even pronounce it??)

Once I've exfoliated with the pink thing/ loofa thing, I'm going to use the 'Scrub of your Life' by Soap and Glory to remove the last of my scales.

Now I'm done with bathing, once I get out the bath I'm going to use 'the righteous butter' by Soap and Glory to make sure my skin is super soft.

And I can't neglect my feet... so I'm going to use the fabulous 'heel genius' for those, it works wonders on them and prepares them for a night of wearing high heels.

I apologise for the terrible quality of this photo!

Now on to tanning. I have very pale skin so struggle with tanning products however after years of trying different products I have finally found the Holy Grail of the tanning world (I think so anyway) and it all costs under £5! I will first be using the Skin Deep Self Tanning Wipes followed by the Garnier Summer Body Moisturising Lotion.

I will be doing a seperate review of these tanning products, with pictures of the results following application soon.

Moving on to nails, I'm going to give them a fresh paint and juzz (is that a word?) a bit for New Year. The polishes that I will be using are by Rimmel followed by a glitter coat by Barry M.

And finally, I'm going to pop two rollers in my fringe to curl it! Thanks for reading my post, it's been slightly longer than usual so I hope I didn't bore you all too much. As mentioned previously, if there are any products you want more information about or reviewing individually let me know in the comment section below! I hope you all have a wonderful 2016 :)
