An Update..

I feel like all I do in my blog posts is apologise for not writing enough! I haven't posted a blog since March so I felt like I would update you all before I began writing weekly posts again! It's now nearing the end of May and I've finally finished my second year of uni and have a full Summer ahead of me. So since I last posted I have had some great nights out with my best friends in Sheffield and Manchester, I started working again! I got a spray tan for the first time since prom and I went on HOLIDAY! (a post dedicated entirely to this will be posted shortly)! And to top all of this off I got my first car.

I went on the Royal Caribbean ship Ovation of the Seas for a week, it visited France and Spain.

And celebrated my friends 20th birthday in Manchester!

And finally I got my first car!

A lot of my photos are taken from Snapchat, and my username is chelseaowenxx. I will be doing weekly posts from now on so look out for more beauty reviews! If there is anything you would like to see just leave me a comment below.

MAYBELLINE IT LOOKS/// RED SIREN

I'm writing this post about an amazing kit that I picked up from Superdrug. This kit includes some of Maybelline's best products and retails at £30! It is an absolute bargain for the amount of product that it includes. The RRP of the items must in total be well over £50 at least. They do several different kits but I decided to choose the 'Red Siren' kit as it had the contour kit and the Nudes eyeshadow palette that I've been wanting for a while.

The kit included the Nudes eyeshadow palette, the Lash Sensational- which is by the way amazing! The matte lipstick in shade 'Divine Wine', the master precise eye liner and eyebrow pencil and finally the Master Sculpt contour kit. This is such good value for money and I would 100% recommend! You can find the kits HERE! Feel free to leave any comments.

Meadowhall Haul

So last Friday I went to Meadowhall, which is in Sheffield, as a late celebration for my sister's birthday. I saved some of my Christmas money so I could treat myself when we went.

Because I don't live near a Mac counter I always try and make sure to visit it when I go to Meadowhall! I picked up a bronzer which was £24.00, it doesn't look as orange as it does on the picture in real, I promise.

I really wanted a diary for this year to jot down my daily thoughts and tasks that I need to do and I found this one in Paperchase. It had 20% of which made it around £8.50.

Next, I went to Superdrug. I really wanted a new drugstore foundation so decided to try the Rimmel red topped one, there was a deal on Rimmel which was buy one product get the next half price so I also decided to try the Rimmel gel liner as I already have the Mac fluidline but want a cheaper alternative. I also bought my favourite conditioner and some Blistex repair cream as the Winter hates my lips.

I next went to New Look, I really wanted a new handbag and spotted this one so took the plunge and bought it! They also had an offer where it was 20% of jeans so I felt compelled to buy a pair. I also bought this long sleeved top for the coming Spring months.

And finally I visited Boots. I purchased a new hairbrush to blow dry my hair, my favourite shampoo which is the Bleach London Silver Shampoo because I have highlights which this helps maintain and I was recommended by a MUA to buy the Boots time delay cream. I've never really thought about anti-ageing creams with only being 19 but the best thing is to start young so I have!

I hope you enjoyed reading this post, I will be doing some more in-depth reviews of the products that I bought. Feel free to leave any comments :)

GRWM: DATE NIGHT

GRWM: DATE NIGHT

My previous GRWM post was very popular so I decided I would do another but this time for a date night look that I did last night. Below is a picture of all of the different products that I used to create the look.

I began by prepping my skin with the Simple Kind to Skin Light Moisturiser and then began creating my base. To create my base I mixed Mac Studio Fix Fluid Foundation with the Seventeen Wow! Primer {I reviewed this product in a previous post, you can find it HERE!}.

This is my skin bare with just some Vaseline on my lips and the Simple Moisturiser.

I then used the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer to conceal underneath my eyes and the blemishes and spots that I had, and finished this with the Mac Studio Fix Powder. Following this, I applied some light contouring using Hoola by Benefit and then highlighted with Lightscapade by Mac. I finished my base of with a flush of colour to my cheeks and used Pink Rose in the Rimmel Lasting Finish Soft Colour Blush.

I then moved onto my brows... for my brows I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomrade in colour Blonde, and set them with Benefit's Gimme Brow. I highlighted underneath them with Benefit's High Beam.

I then moved onto my eyes. For my eyes I used the Benefit 'They're Real' Mascara for one coat, and then used the Mac Fluidline to create my winged eyeliner. I then used the Maybelline 24hr Tattoo in shade Pink Gold, followed by a shadow Platinum from the Smashbox Shapematters Palette. To finish the look, I added another coat of mascara but this time with the Soap and Glory Thick and Fast.

I finished my look with Mac's Plumful lipstick.. and here is the finished look.

For this date night, we went out to a local restaurant. This is what the food looked like... (the most important part).

Thankyou for reading, as usual feel free to leave any comments. If you would like any in depth reviews of the products I have featured let me know!

COCO WHITES

Coco Whites

Earlier this month in December I visited the Clothes Show Live which took place in Birmingham at the NEC, {find out more info about this HERE! if you wish} and purchased a box of Coco Whites at the reduced price of £15, I believe they are normally around £20, so I saved around £5 plus postage which was a bonus! I was very excited to try the product as it has been sponsored by many celebrities especially on Instagram and I was curious as to what was so special about these little white sachets!

If you're unsure as to what Coco Whites is, it is basically a refined version of the ancient tradition of oil pulling. The little sachets are full of coconut oil which has been flavoured to make the process more bearable.

I bought the minty fresh flavour and the box looks like this:

In the box you get 14 sachets as the course is supposed to take 14 days, the sachets look like this:

On the first use I was amazed at the results, see below before and after one use!

Excuse my teeth!

REVIEW: The actual process isn't very nice at all, the coconut oil can be solid and is a very strange texture until it melts in your mouth. The process is also very boring so I would suggest browsing the internet or stalking someone on Facebook whilst your swirl for 10-15 minutes! I was very impressed with the results at first however these results soon ended, and I didn't seen much change after this. The only benefit that was a result of the process was it made me more aware about my teeth and they felt amazingly clean after the oil pulling! I wouldn't recommend this product as I don't personally think it is worth the money HOWEVER if you wish to buy the website can be found HERE!  and I have a voucher code for 20% of which is CSL20. Thanks for reading and feel free to leave any comments!
